Abstract

Revista IDeAS is pleased to publish another interview of our special series that aims to promote dialogue with researchers who are dedicated to studies on the rural world in its multiple interfaces. Our interviewee is Dr. Nelson Giordano Delgado, who is a professor at the Graduate Program in Social Sciences in Development, Agriculture and Society, at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. Delgado addressed historical and contemporary themes that are central to rural studies, recovering his academic trajectory, the history of CPDA, the scenario of agricultural and agrarian policies, and also discussing the proposal for a minimum income. Our interviewee also shares his perceptions about macroeconomic policy, the international scenario, in addition to the new questions posed to rural areas.
