Ter de onde partir: uma experiência agroecológica no assentamento Martires de Abril – MST (Pará)

The aim of this article is to present the agro ecological experience being implemented in one of the establishments of Mártires de Abril-MST Settlement/Pará, Municipality of Belém, District of Mosqueiro. This activity is carried out at Lote Agroecológico de Produção Orgânica (Agro-Ecological Lot of Organic Production) - LAPO belonging to Mr. Mamede Oliveira and Mrs Teófila Nunes. The study aimed to check how this process initiated, in order to understand its organization form , as well as the agro-ecological proposal based on an organization model and social reproduction no longer characterized as collective or semi-collective, but individual. Through this research, it was possible to observe the difficulties to implement this type of agriculture in the settlement, having as one of the factors, lack of policies directed toward the settlement that could meet the needs for implementation of an agro-ecological based agriculture.
