“Imagem de nós”: relações de estabelecidos e outsiders entre a população urbana e os assentados de reforma agrária do sul do Espírito Santo
Keywords:
Land reform, rural settlements, IdentityAbstract
This article aims to analyze the interaction between urban population and land reform settlers, taking as empirical focus the reality of twelve settlement projects in seven municipalities in the southern state of Es pirito Santo. This paper uses Norbert Elias' ideas and concepts about the established and outsiders, as the main point for discussing. The main results of the research identified that there is a conflict in the relationship between urban population and land reform settlers, especially in attributing anomic factors to the settlers done by urban population. The speech with a positive bias is only offered by the urban population when the beneficiaries of the program are moved from the landless to the condition of farmers. The beneficiaries of the projects, in turn, make efforts to leave the condition of outsiders, describing positive aspects of being settlers that puts them as farmers instead of landless.Downloads
